The limited edition Big Five Africa series is made up of animals - elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo. The coin depicts a leopard. The coin was struck in pure Au.9999 bullion, weighing 1/4 troy ounce and measuring 22 mm in diameter, in proof standard.

This unique piece was produced by the renowned mint, The South Africa Mint, and is official legal tender in the issuing country. The entire series is guaranteed by the South African government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal.

The coin has a mintage of only 2000 pieces. The individual pieces are supplied in a presentable wrapper, from which additional information about both the coin and the animal itself can be read. The Averse shows the head of a leopard and the inscription "SOUTH AFRICA", "BIG FIVE 2023" and the South African coat of arms.

On the reverse the two halves of the leopard's head are depicted. The reverse bears the inscription 'FIFTY RAND' and information about the weight and purity of the bullion. By arranging several coins in one position, the entire leopard group can be depicted.
