The 50 zloty banknote is a modern means of payment that combines aesthetics with advanced security technologies. Its dimensions are 132 x 66 mm, and its design refers to King Casimir III the Great, symbolizing the power and rich heritage of Poland.

On the obverse of the 50 zloty banknote there is a portrait of King Casimir III the Great, one of the most outstanding rulers in Poland’s history. Numerous innovative security features are used, including a watermark with the ruler’s portrait and the numeral "50," which is visible when held up to the light. Additionally, the characteristic letter "K" smoothly changes color from green to blue, and the crown in an oval forms a complete image when the banknote is viewed against the light. Tactile elements, such as denomination markings, the ruler’s portrait, and the coat of arms of the Republic of Poland, are also adapted for the blind.
On the reverse there is the White Eagle from the seal of King Casimir III the Great, with the royal insignia below: the scepter and orb. In the background is a panorama of Krakow and Kazimierz, depicted in a woodcut by Hartmann Schedel, which underscores the historical value of this banknote. Additional security features include optically variable ink and microprinting, making it difficult to counterfeit.
