Australian Kangaroo 1/10 oz Gold 2012
The Kangaroo image currency is one of the most popular investment products among collectors. It is worth mentioning that what distinguishes this product from other gold investment coins is that the design of the coin's reverse changes annually. Moreover, it has the added security of an engraved 'P' on the reverse side.
The very history of this remarkable bouillon dates back to 1987. For the first 21 years of production, the gold kangaroo was minted as a gold nugget coin. Importantly, the image has invariably been adorned with a kangaroo since 1995; earlier designs depicted mined gold nuggets in addition to the kangaroo.
The obverse of the Australian Kangaroo gold coin is decorated with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and the coin's denomination, as designed by Jody Clark. The Rewers depicts an adult kangaroo. A windmill is shown in the background. The coin features information about the weight, year of issue and gold proof. The designer of the reverse was Wade Robinson.
