This mint prides itself on minting coins using locally sourced bullion. The American Eagle was first minted in 1986. It is interesting to note that the image of the goddess on the obverse has not changed since the beginning of minting. It is also worth mentioning that the obverse and reverse are reversed 180 degrees to each other, which undoubtedly makes it unique, as it is the only coin in the world minted with the reverse stamp. All production is done by hand. The coins are placed in a press containing special pigments. The effect of the design floating above the mirror-like surface is achieved by multiple embossing. The obverse was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the coins minted between 1907 and 1933. It depicts the personification of Liberty, symbol of the United States and liberation, walking with the attributes of peace: an olive branch and a torch. The seat of the US Congress can be seen at her feet, with the sun's rays in the background. The obverse contains the maxim that was included in the Declaration of Independence - 'In God We Trust'The reverse is decorated by an eagle (designed by John Mercanti) holding a ribbon with the maxim 'E pluribus unum' (Latin: Out of many one), referring to the unification of the states. Above the eagle are thirteen five-pointed stars, symbolising the thirteen colonies.SINGLE PACKS ARE SHIPPED IN PLASTIC ROUND CAPS .Do you need help?
