American Eagle 1 oz Gold 2013
The American Eagle is a gold investment coin that is among the best-selling and most popular gold bullion coins in the world. It is a product with high investment liquidity. It is also the hallmark of the United States Mint.
The American Eagle is a coin that is minted in one ounce weight and Au bullion sample.916. It is a value that is produced from 22K gold and that has been enhanced with a small admixture of silver and copper. It is worth mentioning at this point that a small admixture of metals other than gold affects the greater strength and color of the coin. The American Eagle is a coin that is distinguished not only by its high production quality, but also by the fact that it is minted with an inverted stamp. This means that the obverse is turned 180 degrees from the reverse.
Obverse was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for coins minted in 1907-33. It depicts the personification of Liberty, symbol of the United States and liberation, walking with the attributes of peace: an olive branch and a torch. At its feet, the headquarters of the U.S. Congress can be seen, with the sun's rays in the background.
On the reverse side American Eagle sees the image of a bird landing in a nest, designed by American sculptor Miley Tucker-Frost. The reverse also includes the American maxims of the Declaration of Independence: "In God We Trust" and "E pluribus unum" (Out of many one).
