American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold 2015
The American Eagle is an investment coin minted from 22-karat gold (Au.916 proof) in 1/10th of a troy ounce. It is the flagship product from the renowned United States Mint. It is also a product that is guaranteed by the US government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal, and is full legal tender in the issuer's country. It is also worth mentioning that each gold eagle has been enriched with a small admixture of silver and copper. Such a small admixture of metals other than gold affects the strength and colour of the coin. The coin was first struck in 1986. In addition, what further distinguishes the American Eagle is the reverse stamp minting. This form of minting is distinguished by the fact that the obverse is inverted in relation to the reverse by 180 degrees. The obverse represents the personification of Liberty, a symbol of the United States and liberation, walking with the attributes of peace: an olive branch and a torch. At her feet, the seat of the US Congress can be seen, with the rays of the sun in the background. The obverse design was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens.On the reverse is immortalised the image of an eagle landing in its nest, designed by American sculptor Miley Tucker-Frost. In addition, the reverse features the Declaration of Independence's maxims 'In God We Trust', 'E pluribus unum' and information on the weight and face value of the coin.Do you need help?
