90th Anniversary of the Greater Poland Uprising 2008
A coin commemorating the 90th anniversary of the Wielkopolska Uprising, made of sterling silver of 925 and weighing 14.14g. The Wielkopolska Uprising fought against the German Reich at the turn of 1918-1919 and aimed at regaining the lands of the Prussian partition. The uprising ended on 16 February 1919 with the Armistice of Trier, which extended to the insurgent front the principles of the Armistice of Compiègne of 11 November 1918 ending the First World War.The obverse depicts an illustration of an eagle, which represents the emblem of the Republic of Poland, below which is an illustration showing marching soldiers. Additionally, on the obverse there is the denomination, the year of issue and the inscription RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA.Do you need help?
