The coin was struck from 1 ounce of .9999 fine silver in Reverse Proof quality, using Ultra High Relief technology and the innovative Vivid Toning Effect, which appears for the first time on a Royal Canadian Mint coin.

The Vivid Toning Effect gives the maple leaf remarkably realistic shades of yellow, orange, and red, reminiscent of the colors of the Canadian autumn. A transparent, metallic foil-like layer allows light to pass through and reflect off the polished relief, creating an effect of intense, multicolored brilliance. In addition, the coin’s background is decorated with a radiant pattern inspired by maple leaves, enhancing the sense of depth and luminosity of the entire composition.
