Hawksbill sea turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) – a critically endangered species of reptile from the sea turtle family (Cheloniidae). The only species of the monotypic genus Eretmochelys. There are two subspecies: E. i. imbricata, found in the Atlantic, and E. i. bissa, found in the tropical Indo-Pacific region.

Reverse: features an image of a hawksbill turtle, also known as Taku, swimming along the ocean floor amid tiny bubbles. The reverse also includes information about the silver fineness (999) and the weight of the coin (1 oz).
