This epic also contains elements of Christian allegory, with the main character, Beowulf, symbolizing the struggle between good and evil. The coin is another piece from the new Myths & Legends series. It is minted from pure Ag.999 silver, weighs one troy ounce, and has a diameter of 38.61 mm. In addition, this unusual coin was produced by The Royal Mint. The coin is guaranteed by the British government as to its legality, purity, and origin of the metal, and is legal tender in the country of issue. The obverse features the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain, the denomination, and the year, designed by Martin Jennings. The reverse of the silver coin depicts Beowulf fighting the Dragon. The reverse also features information about the year of minting and the inscriptions “MYTHS AND LEGENDS” and “BEOWULF & THE DRAGON.” The reverse was designed by David Lawrence.Designer
