Russia: Chervonets "Sower" 10 Ruble Gold 1977 is a coin whose design is based on the classic "Sower" motif of the 1920s.
The coin was struck from pure Ag.900 bullion,with a weight of 8.60 grams.
On the obverse is the coat of arms of the USSR - a sickle and hammer against a background of the globe, surrounded by ears of wheat, with ribbons symbolising the individual Soviet republics. At the top above the coat of arms is the inscription "ПРОЛЕТАРИ ВСЕХ СТРАН, СОЕДИНѦЙТЕСЬ!" and below the coat of arms "Р.С.Ф.С.Р."
Rewers depict an image of a farmer sowing grain with a plough against an industrial landscape with a rising sun. The reverse also bears the inscription in Russian "ОДИН ЧЕРВОНЕЦЦ 1977".
