Ukraine 100 Hryvnias Banknote (100 UAH) Circulated Condition 100 pcs

The 100-hryvnia banknote commemorates Taras Shevchenko, one of the most outstanding Ukrainian poets, artists, and national activists. The 142 x 75 mm banknote is a symbol of Ukrainian culture, literature, and the struggle for freedom.

Obverse: the banknote features a portrait of Taras Shevchenko (1814–1861), a creator whose poetry and paintings had a fundamental impact on the development of Ukrainian national identity. His life and work symbolize resistance to oppression and the pursuit of Ukraine’s freedom and independence.

Reverse: the banknote depicts a woman in traditional Ukrainian national dress, symbolizing the beauty, tradition, and strength of the Ukrainian people. A portion of the landscape is also visible in the background, referencing Shevchenko’s native land.

To protect against counterfeiting, the 100-hryvnia banknote in Series 2, 3, and 4 uses the following security features:
Watermark with the image of Taras Shevchenko and the denomination numeral “₴100,” visible when held to the light.
Security thread, visible in light, with the microtext “₴100.”
Tilt effect – the “100” denomination changes color depending on the viewing angle.
Optically variable ink – selected elements change color from purple to green.
Tactile elements, including Shevchenko’s portrait, the denomination, and markings for the visually impaired.

Differences between the series:
- Series 2 is characterized by classic security features and a simple color scheme.
- Series 3 uses an enhanced tilt effect and clearer microtext, increasing the difficulty of counterfeiting.
- Series 4 introduces additional optically variable ink and improved print quality, providing a higher level of protection against counterfeits.
