Zlatá mince Niue: Slovakia Eagle 1/4 unce zlata 2026
Niue Gold Coin: Slovakia Eagle 1/4 oz Gold 2026 is an investment issue prepared by the Czech Mint, inspired by one of the most important national symbols—the eagle. The coin combines the value of pure gold with the rich symbolism of freedom, strength, and independence, deeply rooted in Slovak culture.
For centuries, the eagle has been associated with power, victory, and rebirth. In Slovak tradition, this symbol refers to the long path toward independence and the preservation of national identity. This motif was especially dear to 19th-century national revivalists, including Ľudovít Štúr, who made the eagle a symbol of the nation’s spirit.
The coin is struck from pure gold of fineness Au .9999, weighing 7.78 g (1/4 troy ounce) and with a diameter of 22 mm. It is legal tender issued by Niue with a face value of 10 dollars (NZD).
Obverse features the effigy of King Charles III, along with the face value and the year of issue 2026, in accordance with the rules for coins issued under Niue’s license.
Reverse depicts a majestic eagle soaring above the Tatra landscape, with the distinctive Kriváň peak in the background. The composition is complemented by the silhouette of a second bird of prey in flight, emphasizing the scene’s dynamism and the symbolism of freedom. The design by Miroslav Hric stands out for its refined relief and details that underscore the artistic character of the issue.
The coin is delivered in a protective capsule. By combining the investment value of gold, relatively low mintages, and distinctive symbolism, it is an appealing choice for both investors and collectors.
