Year of the Goat 10 oz Silver 2015
The 2015 Year of the Goat is the sixth instalment of the Lunar II series issued by the Australian Mint Perth Mint. This collector's piece was made from silver weighing five ounces and a bullion grade of 999. The coin is guaranteed by the Australian government as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of the metal. In addition, the total number of minted pieces was 16,920. The images of all of the values in the Lunar collection are modelled on the Chinese lunar calendar. These coins are an excellent way to invest in precious metals. The obverse of the coin is invariably decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II with the weight, year and country of issue. On the reverse is an illustration of a lunar animal.
