The Unicorn - A mythical creature with a horn in the middle of its forehead. It was believed to be a good, innocent creature, its horn as well as its tears had the magical power to purify everything it touched, it was also a cure for all poisons and diseases. Its image often appeared in heraldry (since 1603, together with the lion, it holds the shield of the coat of arms of England, in Poland: Bartoszewscy, Bonieccy, Fredrowie, Żółkiewski), on coins, and was described in natural history works. Although no one has seen it, one has "owned" its horn or objects made from it, miraculous ointments and potions. The obverse depicts the Eastern Unicorn, also known as a qilin.
