Ukraine 200 Hryvnias Banknote (200 UAH) Circulated Condition

The 200-hryvnia banknote was designed as a tribute to Lesya Ukrainka, an eminent poet and activist for Ukrainian independence. The banknote measures 148 x 75 mm and pays homage to Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

Obverse the banknote features a portrait of Lesya Ukrainka (1871–1913), one of the most outstanding Ukrainian writers and social activists. Her poetry and dramas have become symbols of national identity and reflect the spirit of the struggle for Ukraine’s freedom.

Reverse the banknote shows the image of the Castle Tower in Lutsk—a medieval structure that is a symbol of history and national pride. This castle, dating back to the early 15th century, is one of the best-preserved monuments of defensive architecture in Ukraine.

To protect against counterfeiting, the 200-hryvnia banknote features the following security elements:
Watermark with a portrait of Lesya Ukrainka and the denomination numeral “₴200,” visible when held to the light.
Security thread, embedded and visible when held to the light, with microtext “₴200.”
Tilt effect—the “200” denomination changes color depending on the viewing angle, providing an additional level of protection.
Optically variable ink—some graphic elements shift from purple to green.
Tactile elements, such as the portrait of Lesya Ukrainka, the denomination, and markings for the visually impaired.

Differences between series:
- Series 2 features basic security elements and a classic color scheme.
- Series 3 improves the tilt effect and adds clearer microtext to increase the level of protection.
- Series 4 uses additional optically variable ink and enhanced graphic elements, providing even better protection against counterfeiting.

Important!
