A unique Tuvalu product: the Tutankhamun Discovery 100th Anniversary coloured, gold-plated 2 oz Silver 2022 Proof is an interesting numismatic offering depicting the pharaoh Tutankhamun. He reigned from 1333 to 1323 BC and was the pharaoh of the 18th dynasty. The 2022 coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the pharaoh's tomb, which took place in 1922 by English archaeologist Howard Carter. The investment proposition comes from the world-renowned Australian mint, The Perth Mint.The coin is made of pure Ag.9999 bullion, weighing two troy ounces and with a maximum diameter of 50.8mm. The mintage of the coin is 2,000 pieces. In addition, the product has been minted in colour, in proof standard and has gold-plated elements. The silver numismatic coin is full legal tender in the issuing country and is guaranteed by the Government of Tuvalu. The coin comes in individual original packaging with an accompanying certificate of authenticity. The Averse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The whole is surrounded by the inscription "QUEEN ELIZABETH II TUVALU" and information on the weight, purity of the bullion, year of issue and face value of the coin. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.Rewers depict the pharaoh Tutankhamun.
