Furthermore, Australia's oldest mint, The Perth Mint, is responsible for issuing this silver piece. It is also worth mentioning that the entire piece is minted on behalf of the State of Tuvalu, which means that each piece in the Simpsons series is guaranteed by the Tuvalu government and is legal tender in that country.
The obverse depicts Queen Elizabeth II - designed by Ian-Rank Broadley, along with information on the year of issue, bullion proof, weight, face value and country of issue.
The Rewers of the silver coin depicts coloured images of The Simpsons characters, in a festive design. The reverse side features the inscription 'SEASON'S GREETINGS' and The Perth Mint's mint mark - the 'P'.The reverse was designed by Matt Groening.
