Tuvalu: Dragon and Phoenix coloured 5 oz Silver 2024 Antiqued Coin
Tuvalu: Dragon and Phoenix Colorized 5 oz Silver 2024 Antiqued Coin is a product featuring the mythical phoenix and dragon. In Chinese culture, the dragon is revered as a divine mythical creature, embodying power and wealth. Dragons are often depicted in pursuit of a flaming pearl, a metaphor for wisdom and enlightenment. The phoenix, on the other hand, is a symbol of luck, harmony, and prosperity. The creature is a combination of several other birds - the head of a pheasant, the body of a mandarin duck, the tail of a peacock, the beak of a parrot, and the wings of a swallow.
The silver bullion coin is made of pure Ag.9999 fine silver, weighing 5 troy ounces and measuring 55.9 mm in diameter, in an antiqued coin standard. Additionally, the coin is issued by Australia's oldest mint, The Perth Mint. This product is backed by the government of Tuvalu and serves as legal tender in the country. Notably, the coin has a strictly limited mintage of 388 pieces.
Obverse of the silver coin features the portrait of King Charles III along with information about the nominal value, weight, fineness, issuing country, and date of issue. The obverse was designed by Jody Clark.
Reverse showcases a colorized phoenix and dragon, designed by Natasha Muhl.
