The Tokelau: The Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II 1 oz Gold 2023 Proof is a unique product that commemorates the 70th anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 and died on 8 September 2022. She was crowned Queen on 2 June 1953 at Westminster Abbey in London. The year 2023 marks the 70th anniversary of this historic event. The reverse features a scepter with a crystal, which was made of diamond.

The coin was struck in pure Au.9999 gold, weighing 1 troy ounce, 40 mm in diameter, in proof standard. The mintage of the coin is 150 pieces. The coin is also fully legal tender in the issuer's country. Moreover, this gold piece is housed in its original packaging.

The obverseshows an image of Queen Elizabeth II, the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "TOKELAU" and contains information on the denomination, year of issue, bullion proof and weight of the coin. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Rewers show an effigy of the young Queen Elizabeth II holding the royal apple and sceptre with a diamond, and the inscriptions "QUEEN ELIZABETH" and "E II R".
