The Royal Tudor Beasts: The Tudor Dragon 2 oz Silver 2024 is the sixth piece in The Royal Tudor Beasts series. A collector coin, it shows the image of one of the ten heraldic Royal Beasts - the Tudor Dragon. Dragons were prominent symbols during the medieval period and were used by Owen Tudor, great-grandfather of Henry VIII. Henry VIII therefore believed the symbol to be linked to Cadwaladr, King of Gwynedd in Wales, reigning around 655-682. According to contemporary manuscripts, the Tudor Dragon had a red head, back and wings and a gold underside. The product is an interesting start to the series and provides an interest in the history of Britain.

The coin is minted in pure Ag.999 silver, weighing 2 troy ounces and with a diameter of 40mm, in proof standard. The mintage of the coin is 1,256 pieces. In addition, this extraordinary piece was produced by The Royal Mint. The specimen comes with individual, certified packaging.

The obverse shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain and the denomination, designed by Martin Jennings. The Rewers depicts one of the beasts of the Tudor Kingdom - the Tudor Dragon - and the inscription "TUDOR DRAGON" "2024". The reverse was designed by David Lawrence.
