In 1953, ten sculptures of The Queen’s Beasts guarded Westminster Abbey during the coronation of Elizabeth II. The design is inspired by sculptures adorning the entrance to Hampton Court Palace, symbolizing the power of Henry VIII and the Tudor dynasty. The modern version of these legendary beasts was designed by Jody Clark and The Royal Mint Design Team.
The bar is minted from pure silver with a fineness of Ag.9999, weighing 10 troy ounces and measuring 78 x 78 mm. Furthermore, this silver product has a limited mintage of 6,000 pieces. This extraordinary specimen was produced by The Royal Mint.
