The Kookaburra silver investment coin is a product minted from pure fine silver, weighing 1,000 grams. The coin is part of a series that has been running since 1990 and bears the name " Australian Kookaburra". The issuer of the silver bullion coin is Perth Mint. As with all the pieces in the series, this one is a fully fledged legal tender and comes with a guarantee from the Australian Government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and the origin of the metal. What's more, the 2017 coin was struck in an edition of 10,936 pieces. The Kookaburra is a series of silver coins produced since 1990. Initially (not including the first issue which was only struck in one weight - 1 ounce), the collection was struck in four different sizes: 1 kilogram, 10 ounces, 2 ounces, 1 ounce. In 2010, the quantity was reduced to three sizes: 1 kilogram, 10 ounces and 1 ounce. It is also worth mentioning that the collection is distinguished by the fact that the design of the coins changes every year, which makes their value increase from year to year.The obverse of the coin is decorated with an illustration of Queen Elizabeth II. Additionally, the obverse features the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" and information about the coin's denomination. The reverse depicts an image of the Kookaburras sitting on a fence.Moreover, on the reverse there is information about the weight, the bullion proof and the date of issue of the coin.
