"The wolf is commonly found in the culture and beliefs of all peoples living in the areas where it is found. It has been the subject of myths and legends since the earliest times, and since the invention of writing it has also been a frequent literary motif. The wolf's characteristic traits such as independence, love of freedom and boundless spaces, predation, strength, ability to behave socially have been recognised, and the wolf's howling has been associated with the moon. Although a negative image of the wolf prevails, some of its qualities were admired. In animistic cultures, in societies where a hunter-gatherer culture was prevalent, attempts were made to magically acquire the strength of the wolf, to bestow it on hunters. Wolf tusks were often used as amulets, and wolf skins were donned by shamans and vlachs during rituals. The wolf was also a role model for warriors. According to Nordic beliefs, berserkers were said to possess wolf power alongside that of the bear". The Royal Canadian Mint was officially opened in 1908 by Governor General Earl Grey, minting the first fifty-cent coin produced on Canadian soil. After the coin began to be issued, the only competitor to the coin was the South African Krugerrand, but due to the apartheid boycott, this was not available to the general public. This made the maple leaf gold coins very popular. Silver is mainly used as a precious metal. Sterling silver alloyed with copper is used for jewellery, crockery and cutlery. It is also used in the production of medals. High-end musical instruments, such as flutes, are made from this alloy. Silver is a very malleable and forgeable (slightly harder than gold) monovalent metal of the 11th group, with a shiny lustre that can be easily polished. The obverse side bears the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse of the coin shows an image of a howling wolf, as well as the year of issue, the denomination and the name of the country (Canada) in which it is produced DELIVERY TIME: 24h
