The Gold of India 100 Euro Gold 2023 Proof
The coin depicts two particularly charismatic deities from ancient Indian myths - Lakshmi and Krishna. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of happiness and prosperity. The third day of Diwali is dedicated to her as the festival of lights.
The coin is from the renowned Austrian Mint. The 2023 gold coin has no minted weight or bullion proof. The Averse shows Lakshmi seated in lotus flowers, surrounded by elephants. The obverse also shows the minting year of the coin, the denomination and the inscription 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH'.
Rewers depict Krishna seated in lalitasana, or royal position, resplendent in the finest jewellery and surrounded by an ornate band resembling peacock feathers.
