St Helena: The Faerie Queene - Una & Lion 1 oz Silver 2022 Proof is another piece from The Faerie Queene series. The story of Una and the Lion was written by the poet Edmund Spencer in 1590. The work is one of the longest poems written in the English language. It consists of six books and 36,000 lines. It is widely believed that the work is an allegory of the life and achievements of Elizabeth I.

The product has been made of pure Ag.999 sterling silver, weighing one troy ounce in diameter measuring 38.6mm, to proof standard. The respected precious metals producer The East India Company is responsible for its issuance and is full legal tender on the island of Saint Helena.

The obverse of the coin is decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions "ST. HELENA" and "ELIZABETH II". The obverse also shows the year of mintage and the face value of the coin. The designer of the obverse was Jody Clark. The Rewers of the coin depicts an image of Una and Lion looking into each other's eyes and the inscription "THE FAERIE QUEENE". The designer of the reverse was Joel Iskowitz.
