The Gold Sovereign is a popular bullion coin minted by the UK's Royal Mint, which is one of Europe's oldest mints, producing coins and orders for around 60 countries around the world and has exclusive rights to produce pounds and national medals in the UK. The pure gold content of the Sovereign is (0.235420) troy ounces or exactly 7.322381 grams. In addition, it has an admixture of copper, so it remains highly resistant to scratches and damage.The obverse is decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II. Rewers depict the scene of Saint George slaying the dragon. The illustration was designed by Benedetto Pistrucci. The date of issue is also indicated at the bottom of the gold coin.Do you need help?
