Whitetail, Norwegian Falcon (Falco rusticolus) is a species of large bird of prey in the falcon family (Falconidae), the largest representative of the genus Falco.It is an Arctic sedentary or partially migratory species. It is found in almost the entire northern hemisphere and forms many geographical forms. It inhabits the Arctic parts of Eurasia and North America. It nests on the Scandinavian Peninsula, Iceland, northern Finland and Russia. Some of them have been described as separate species. It flies to Poland exceptionally (found 20 times) from breeding grounds in northern Europe. Each time, single specimens were found. This occurred from August to November and in January, March and the first half of April. It was occasionally found in different parts of the country, whether on the Coast, in the centre or in the foothills."
