Rwanda: Nautical Ounce - 165 years of Great Eastern 1 ounce Silver 2023 is a unique product from the 'Nautical Ounce' series depicting a historic steamship built in the 19th century. The Great Eastern was equipped with advanced steam propulsion, enabling it to travel at high speed at sea, and was also used to lay the transatlantic telegraph cable, one of the most notable achievements of its career. The coin is minted in pure Ag.999 silver, weighing one troy ounce, 40mm in diameter. The Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt is responsible for issuing the entire Nautical Ounce collection, while it is worth mentioning that the whole coin is guaranteed by the Rwandan government and each coin is official tender in the issuing country. On the obverse is the official seal of Rwanda and the face value of the coin.
