10th anniversary of the Australian Silver Swan series
Australian black swans are a distinctive feature of the continent’s landscape, found on lakes, wetlands, and river estuaries. The 2026 release features the tenth design in the popular Australian Silver Swan series. The anniversary nature of the issue is symbolised by the special “P10” mintmark. The coin has a face value of 1 AUD, weighs a minimum of 31.107 g, and measures up to 40.90 mm in diameter.
Obverse and reverse of the coin
Obverse features the official effigy of King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne. The monarch’s portrait is surrounded by inscriptions characteristic of Australian coins, including the denomination of 1 Australian dollar.
Reverse, designed by Aleysha Howarth, depicts a majestic black swan flying over a scenic lake. The coloured design includes a tranquil landscape, clouds, and a vivid rainbow. The composition is completed by the inscription “2026 1oz 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN” and the anniversary “P10” mintmark.
