In the third chapter of its Ragnarök series, Germania Mint portrays Thor shortly before his final encounter with Jörmungandr. The 2026 coin contains one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver. Its dark Black Silver BU finish brings contrast to the design and reflects the ominous atmosphere of the Norse twilight of the gods.

Obverse: Thor with Mjölnir

The god of thunder holds his legendary hammer as he prepares to face the Midgard Serpent. The scene captures the tension before a confrontation that, in the myth, decides the fate of both adversaries. A separate Jörmungandr coin presents the other side of this chapter, making the two issues a thematic pair.

Reverse and issue details

The reverse combines symbols of Thor and Mjölnir with Germania Mint's double-headed eagle. Designed by Kinga Sabatowicz, the coin measures 38.61 mm and bears a 5 mark denomination. Mintage is limited to 5,000. A lens capsule protects the surface, while the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity confirms the issue's specifications.
