Silver Coin Perth Mint: Dune 1 oz Silver 2026
Perth Mint Silver Coin: Dune 1 oz Silver 2026 is a collector release inspired by the iconic science fiction novel Dune by Frank Herbert. The story of Paul Atreides, set on the desert planet Arrakis, is among the most important works of speculative fiction and has seen numerous film adaptations, including award-winning productions by Legendary Entertainment.
The coin is struck from Ag .9999 fine silver with a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.107 g) and a diameter of 40.9 mm. It has a face value of 1 Tuvalu Dollar and is legal tender issued on behalf of Tuvalu. The mintage is limited to 10,000 pieces. Each coin is delivered in an acrylic protective capsule.
The release references the world of Arrakis—the planet that is the sole source of the exceedingly valuable substance known as melange. The conflicts over control of this resource and the fate of House Atreides form an epic tale of power, destiny, and courage in the face of the unknown.
Obverse features the official effigy of King Charles III by Jody Clark. The design also includes the issuing country, face value, weight, silver purity, and the year of issue 2026.
Reverse by Sean Rogers depicts the Emperor’s monumental ship and the imperial tent against the desert landscape of Arrakis. In the foreground is the desert mouse Muad’Dib—a symbol of survival and spiritual significance for the Fremen people. The design is completed by the “Dune” logo and the Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark.
