Silver Coin Niue Mickey Mouse 90 Years of Imagination 1 oz Silver 2018 celebrates Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary. The “90 Years of Imagination” theme recalls nine decades of one of animation’s most familiar characters.

Silver and the issue’s theme

Struck by New Zealand Mint for Niue, it contains 1 troy ounce of 999 fine silver, approximately 31.1 g. It measures 40.7 mm, has a $2 face value and a mintage of 90,000 coins.

The year 2018 marks nine decades since the 1928 release of “Steamboat Willie”, which brought Mickey Mouse widespread recognition. The anniversary composition combines his figure with a large number 90. This silver issue can complement a collection devoted to Disney and the history of animation.
