The main theme of this release is the angel – a symbol of light, protection, and spiritual care, present in many religions and cultural traditions around the world. In art and literature, angels are depicted as beings acting as intermediaries between the human world and the divine realm.

The coin was struck from pure .999 silver, with a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.1 g) and a diameter of 37 mm. The numismatic piece has a face value of 2 New Zealand dollars and was created with an Antiqued finish, emphasizing the artistic and symbolic character of the design.

The obverse and reverse were designed by Roman Šamiljan. The coin is issued by Niue.

Obverse: depicts the coat of arms of Niue together with the face value and the year of issue. The composition is surrounded by elements of nature such as rocks, waves, trees, and clouds, giving the whole design a decorative character.
