Silver Coin Human Body – Tonsil Colored 1 oz Silver 2026 Proof is the seventh issue in the educational “Human Body” series prepared by the Czech Mint, dedicated to the anatomy and functioning of the human body.

The theme of this release is the tonsils, which are an important part of the lymphatic and immune systems. The lymphatic system is responsible for protecting the body against viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens by transporting lymph containing white blood cells. The tonsils serve as the first protective barrier against microorganisms entering the body through the respiratory or digestive tract.

The coin was struck from pure Ag.999 silver, with a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.1 g) and a diameter of 37 mm. The numismatic piece has a face value of 1 New Zealand dollar and was produced in Proof quality with the use of colorization.

The obverse and reverse were designed by Jan Štekl. The coin is issued by Niue.

Obverse, shared by the entire “Human Body” series, depicts a colored double helix of DNA together with the coat of arms of Niue, the face value, and the year of issue.

Reverse shows a colored cross-section of a human head with the tonsils highlighted. The composition is complemented by the Latin inscription TONSILLAE PALATINAE, referring to the palatine tonsils.
