The Proof finish is combined with selective colour and Ultra High Relief technology, thanks to which the distinctive form of the Library rises clearly above the other elements of the design. The mintage is limited to just 4,500 pieces worldwide.

Architecture and Canadian Heritage

The Library survived the devastating fire of 1916 as the only remaining part of the original Centre Block. Its octagonal shape, ornate stonework, and distinctive dome are now among the most recognizable features of Parliament Hill.

Obverse and Reverse

Obverse features the effigy of King Charles III designed by Steven Rosati, together with the inscriptions appropriate to a Canadian collector coin.

Reverse, designed by Tony Bianco, depicts the Library of Parliament in Ultra High Relief against the surrounding architecture of Parliament Hill and the Peace Tower. The selective colours of autumn leaves contrast with the silver surface of the coin, emphasizing the depth and unique character of this anniversary design.
