The silver coin was struck in pure Ag.999 silver, weighing 1 troy ounce. The coin has a limited mintage of only 10 000 pieces. Each piece is guaranteed by the Government of Samoa as to the legality, purity of the sample and origin of the bullion and is full legal tender in the islands of Samoa.
The obverse of the silver coin features an image of Queen Elizabeth II and the Samoan coat of arms. The obverse shows the weight, purity of the bullion, the year the coin was struck and the face value. The designer was Ian Rank-Broadley.
Rewers of the coin depict a white tiger and a wind rose. The inscription 'WHITE TIGER OF THE WEST-AUTUMN' completes the design.
