The coin is struck from pure silver with a purity of Ag.999, weighing one troy ounce and having a diameter of 40 mm. It is legal tender in Rwanda, with the emission guaranteed by the government.
Obverse of the coin features the national emblem of Rwanda, along with the face value, confirming its status as official currency of Rwanda.
