The Rwanda: Lunar - Year of the Dragon 1 Ounce Platinum 2024 is a platinum bullion coin, which is the eighth piece to form the Lunar series. Rwanda: Lunar is an African collection depicting lunar animals derived from the Chinese calendar. Of course, as with other lunar collections, the image of the animals changes annually. The year 2024 belongs to the dragon. The Chinese zodiac sign of the dragon falls in the years: 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024.

The coin is struck in pure Pt.999 platinum, weighing one troy ounce and measuring 40 mm in diameter. Importantly, the dragon coin, like the entire series, is guaranteed by the Government of Rwanda and is full legal tender in the issuing country. The coin is minted in a limited mintage of 88 pieces.

The Averse of the platinum coin is decorated with the Rwandan emblem and information on the face value.

Rewers show the figure of the titular dragon and information on the weight of the coin, the purity of the bullion used and the year of mintage. In addition, the reverse side bears the inscription "YEAR OF THE DRAGON", "LUNAR OUNCE".
