The coin depicting the lovely Quokka is a collector's offering from the world-renowned Australian mint, The Perth Mint. The Kuoka (Quokka) is a small bagger of the kangaroo family, inhabiting south-western Australia and the Rottnest and Bald Islands. Its unusually adorable muzzle and friendly attitude towards humans has ensured the animal's popularity on social media, where tourists post selfies with the eponymous animal. The 2021 Quokka is made of aluminium bronze, weighing 15.5 grams and with a maximum diameter of 30.7 mm. This unique coin is an unlimited edition product. The product is supplied in original postcard-like cards and is full legal tender in the issuer's country and is guaranteed by the Australian Government.The obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark.
