Polish Circulation Coins Red Fox – Coin Set 1 Grosz–5 Zloty 2025
Polish Circulating Coins “Red Fox” – 1 gr – 5 zł Set 2025 includes coins with denominations from 1 grosz to 5 złoty, minted in 2025. The series refers to Polish history, tradition, and nature. The theme of this set is the red fox, one of the symbols of Poland’s forest fauna.
The 1, 2 and 5 grosz denominations are made of manganese brass (MM59); the 10, 20 and 50 grosz coins and the 1 złoty coin are made of cupronickel (MN25); whereas the 2 and 5 złoty coins are composed of cupronickel (core of the 2 złoty coin and ring of the 5 złoty coin) and aluminium bronze (core of the 5 złoty coin and ring of the 2 złoty coin).
The coin edges differ by denomination: 1 grosz, 20 groszy and 50 groszy have reeded edges; 2 grosze and 2 złote have plain edges; 5 groszy, 10 groszy and 1 złoty have alternating plain and reeded edges. The 5 złoty coin features an irregularly reeded edge.
The set includes coins in the denominations of 5 zł, 2 zł, 1 zł, 50 groszy, 20 groszy, 10 groszy, 5 groszy, 2 grosze and 1 grosz. In order from the highest face value, the products have the following weight and diameter: 6.54 g and 24 mm, 5.21 g and 21.5 mm, 5 g and 23 mm, 3.94 g and 20.5 mm, 3.22 g and 18.5 mm, 2.51 g and 16.5 mm, 2.59 g and 19.5 mm, 2.13 g and 17.5 mm, 1.64 g and 15.5 mm.
Obverse features the image of the eagle established as the emblem of the Republic of Poland, above which, in a semicircle, appears the inscription “RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA”. The date of issue is placed at the bottom of the obverse.
Reverse depicts the coin’s face value and the name of the currency unit.
