Polish Circulation Coin Set "European Elk" - Coin Set 1 gr - 5 zł 2026
Polish Circulation Coins "European Moose" – Set 1 gr – 5 zł 2026
Polish Circulation Coins "European Moose" 2026 is a set of nine Polish coins in denominations ranging from 1 grosz to 5 zlotys, minted in 2026. The set is presented in a folder featuring the European moose, one of the most distinctive representatives of Polish fauna. The nature-inspired motif decorates the packaging, while the coins themselves retain the traditional designs of Polish circulation coinage.
Characteristics of Polish circulation coins
The set includes the denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 groszy, as well as 1, 2, and 5 zlotys. The 1, 2, and 5 grosz coins are made of brass-plated steel, while the 10, 20, and 50 grosz coins and the 1 zloty coin are made of copper-nickel plated steel. The 2 and 5 zloty coins are bimetallic, combining cupronickel and Nordic gold.
The individual denominations differ in weight, diameter, and edge finish, which may be plain, reeded, or alternately plain and reeded. The 5 zloty coin stands out with its irregularly milled edge.
Obverse and reverse of the coins
Obverse features the image of the eagle established as the emblem of the Republic of Poland, the inscription “RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA,” and the year of issue, 2026.
Reverse shows the face value of the coin and the name of the monetary unit, accompanied by characteristic ornaments with an oak leaf motif.
