Platinum Coin Canada: Maple Leaf Forever 1 oz Platinum 2026 Reverse Proof
Platinum Coin Canada: Maple Leaf Forever 1 Ounce Platinum 2026 Reverse Proof is an exclusive collector’s issue prepared by the Royal Canadian Mint. The coin belongs to the Maple Leaf Forever series, in which Canada’s iconic symbol—the maple leaf—is presented in a modern, artistic interpretation using advanced minting technologies.
The coin is struck in Pt .9995 platinum, weighing 1 troy ounce (31.16 g) and measuring 30 mm in diameter. It has a denomination of 300 Canadian dollars and features a Reverse Proof finish, characterized by a matte background and mirrored relief. The mintage is very limited at only 425 pieces. The coin is offered in an elegant wooden mint case.
The design employs innovative “pulsating” technology, which uses hundreds of microscopic, light-reflecting surfaces. This creates the impression that the maple leaf subtly moves and pulses as light strikes it.
Obverse features a portrait of King Charles III by Steven Rosati, along with the issuing country and face value.
Reverse, designed by Lisa Thompson Khan, depicts a leaf of Acer rubrum—the red maple—one of the symbols of Canada’s natural heritage. Precise light-reflecting microstructures create a dynamic visual effect, giving the composition a sense of life and motion.
