The Australian interior encompasses vast deserts, semi-deserts, rocky canyons, and wild plains, forming one of the most diverse and challenging landscapes in the world. It is home to hundreds of thousands of plant and animal species, many of which are endemic. The coin is struck from 1 oz of pure gold of Au 9999 fineness, has a face value of 100 Australian dollars, and is legal tender in Australia.
