What is LBMA?

LBMA, i.e. the London Bullion Market Association, is an association that determines and supervises compliance with quality and safety requirements in the production of minted products. This important body consists of institutions that are directly related to the precious metals market, including: mints, international banks and others.

Importantly, only a manufacturer who has been previously recommended by at least three entities that are already members of the LBMA can be part of the LBMA. Additionally, restrictive procedures are intended to ensure membership only to the most respected and trusted entities, which are also included in the regularly updated Good Delivery List. The Good Delivery List is a list of LBMA entities that is publicly available to the public.

Consequently, the price received for an LBMA-accredited item will be the highest possible, i.e. it will be higher than the price of items produced by mints that have not received LBMA accreditation.
