Chinook turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) - a critically endangered species of reptile in the sea turtle family (Cheloniidae). The only species of the monotypic genus Eretmochelys. Two subspecies are distinguished: E. i. imbricata, found in the Atlantic, and E. i. bissa from the tropical Indo-Pacific. Obverse: the coin is decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown. There is also information on the denomination and the year the coin was struck (2014) Reverse: there is an effigy of a tortoiseshell turtle, also known as Taku, swimming along the ocean floor, amidst tiny bubbles. The reverse also shows the silver sample (999) and weight of the coin (1 oz)
