Chinook turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) - a critically endangered species of reptile in the sea turtle family (Cheloniidae). The only species of the monotypic genus Eretmochelys. Two subspecies are distinguished: E. i. imbricata, found in the Atlantic, and E. i. bissa from the tropical Indo-Pacific. Obverse: the coin is decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown.
