The obverse of the coin is decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, the inscription "NIUE ISLAND" and the denomination and year of the coin. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley. The Rewers depict Shere Khan's tiger and Mowgli in a tree. The reverse features the inscription 'SHERE KHAN.
