The obverse of the coin is decorated with the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, the inscription "NIUE ISLAND" and the denomination and year of the coin. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Rewers depicts Mowgli among a pack of wolves . The reverse bears the inscription 'THE WOLF PACK AND AKELA'.
