Niue: Icons of Inspiration: Wright Brothers 1 oz Gold 2022 is the fifth coin in the Icons of Inspiration series. The first coin to start the series was a copy showing Galileo, followed by Leonardo da Vinci. The third coin in the series featured Isaac Newton, while the fourth coin featured Albert Einstein. The product depicts the Wright Brothers, American aviation pioneers. The aircraft of their design, the 'Wright Flyer', powered by an internal combustion engine, is considered the first to take to the air. The gold coin was struck in pure Au.9999 bullion, weighing 1 troy ounce and 32mm in diameter. The mintage of the coin is limited to only 100 pieces. What is more, each coin in the series acts as a fully fledged means of payment. Each coin is supplied in a case with an accompanying certificate of authenticity. The Averse depicts a triumphant image of a muse with her hand extended towards the sun and the coat of arms of Niue (Public Seal of Niue), as well as information on the weight, purity of the bullion, year of issue and the coin's face value. The Rewers shows the Wright Brothers, with plans of their aircraft in the background and the inscriptions "WILBUR WRIGHT" and "ORVILLE WRIGHT".
