The 2020 New Zealand Proof Currency Penguin 2020 Proof set is a product that has 6 coins together with the Penguin Penguin as the main, representative coin. The product was struck by B. H. Mayer's Kunstrpägeanstalt GmbH, commissioned by New Zealand Post. The coin is guaranteed by the New Zealand Government and is full legal tender in the issuing country. Importantly, the set has a limited mintage of just 750 minted pieces, proof standard. The products are supplied in an elegant case.

Among the coins are:- Chatham Island Penguins, the coin was struck in Ag.999, weighing 1 troy ounce, 40mm in diameter and with a face value of 1 Dollar.

- Kōtuku - White Heron, the coin was struck in brass, weighing 11.25 grams, 26.50mm in diameter and with a face value of 2 Dollars.

- Kiwi, the coin was struck in brass, weighing 8.60 grams, diameter 23.00mm and denomination 1 Dollar.

- HMS Endeavour with Mount Taranaki (Egmont), the coin was struck in copper-nickel alloy, weighing 5.60 grams, diameter 24.75mm and denomination 50 Cents.

- Sculpture of the 18th cent. Maori leader called "Pūkāki", the coin was struck from a copper-nickel alloy, weighing 4.45 grams, 21.75mm diameter and 20 Cents denomination.

- Carved Maori mask or "kōruru" with Maori designs, the coin was struck from copper, weighing 3.70 grams, 20.50mm diameter and 10 Cents denomination.

The designer of the obverses was Ian Rank-Broadley.

The designer of the reverses was Dave Burke.
